Day 2: Windhoek - Sossusvlei

Today, we take the snaking roads through mountains and via the town of Rehoboth, home to Namibia’s Baster community, before heading for one of Namibia’s top touristic attractions, Sossusvlei with its red dunes, and our lodge for the next two nights. Dinner is served under the Namibian Sky.

Day 2: Sossusvlei

An early rise this morning for an exciting day exploring Sossusvlei. Considered some of the tallest dunes in the world, these monumentally high star shaped dunes are a sought-after destination. The hues constantly change with the sun rising from deep apricot to warm red and all shades in between. As the sun rises above the soaring dunes, admire the views as we eat our breakfast in these wonderful surroundings. You will have the opportunity to climb these awesome dunes and explore the Deadvlei before we continue towards Sesriem Canyon and return to the lodge for an afternoon of relaxation.

Day 4: Sossusvlei - Moon Landscape & Swakopmund

The coastal area of Namibia awaits our discovery today. We drive via the Kuiseb and Gaub passes to the coast, where we'll stay for the next two nights. The Moon Landscape is a fascinating area where the eroded remains of a mountain range create an incredible sight. Explore this unique landscape, a hit with the film industry, and see one of the world's biggest Welwitschia Mirabilis plants. We will stay for two nights at Swakopmund, located at the beginning of the Skeleton Coast. For dinner tonight enjoy warm hospitality and fresh seafood as you dine in this unique setting overlooking the ocean from aboard an original oil-fired Danie Hugo Tug boat, constructed in the ship yards of Port Glasgow Scotland.

Day 5: Swakopmund - At Leisure

Today is free for you to spend relaxing. Alternatively, why not join our optional dolphin and seal catamaran cruise from the nearby town of Walvis Bay – sure to be a truly memorable experience. You will also have the chance to join the optional Living Desert Tour, a unique 4x4 adventure drive through the nearby dunes to introduce you to the flora and fauna that survives in this inhospitable landscape.

Day 6: Damaraland

Heading north along the coastline of the Skeleton Coast this morning, we call at Henties Bay, a popular Holiday resort for the locals, before moving inland towards Damaraland, a seemingly lifeless part of the country, but home to the desert adapted rhino and elephant. Prehistoric water courses with open plains and grassland, massive granite hills and deep gorges make up what is without doubt one of Namibia’s most scenic areas. Spend the rest of the day relaxing at your lodge. This evening we'll gather for a meal made using fresh ingredients from the lodge's gardens.

Day 7: Damaraland

The Twyfelfontein area is rich in fascinating geology and culture. Today we call at one of the largest collections of ancient rock paintings and engravings in Africa. The formation and colour of the nearby Burnt Mountain is a phenomenon that has caused much speculation, and the Organ Pipes, a mass of basalt slabs in a ravine gouged out by a river, is another geological curiosity in the area. Later you will visit the Damara Living Museum, where you'll learn about some of Namibia's oldest inhabitants. Discover a Damara village, watch traditional performances and perhaps even buy hand-crafted jewellery during your visit.

Day 8: Damaraland - Etosha National Park

This morning we visit the Petrified Forest where you will find the remains of tree trunks, estimated to be about 200 million years old, scattered over a small enclosed area. We then proceed towards Etosha National Park and visit an authentic Himba Village before reaching our lodge. A guided tour around this village will not only give one an in-depth insight into the life and ways of the last traditional tribe in Namibia, but amazing photographic opportunity as well. Experience the milking ceremony, the smoke bath, and learn more about the beliefs around the holy fire, ancestors, and herbal medicine. One will also learn about the jewellery and hairstyles to imitate the status of each tribe member and their close relationship with nature, their cattle and children. In the afternoon, if time permits, we will enjoy a game drive. Returning to the lodge just prior to sunset. PLEASE NOTE that plastic bags are not permitted into Etosha National Park.

Day 9: Etosha National Park

Today we explore the Etosha National Park in an open safari vehicle. We enter the park at the Anderson's Gate and spend the day calling at the various waterholes where game can be observed in their natural habitat. – incredible sights that you'll surely never forget. We will also enjoy a picnic lunch before setting off on the afternoon game drive. Return to the lodge in the late afternoon. Please note: plastic bags are not permitted into Etosha National Park

Day 10: Etosha National Park

Today we explore Etosha National Park in our touring vehicle before arriving to the second Etosha lodge of our stay, where the rest of the day is free for you to relax before dinner. Dive into the cool waters of the pools or indulge in quality food and wine - and peace. Please note: plastic bags are not permitted into Etosha National Park

Day 11: Etosha National Park - Windhoek

This morning we head for Tsumeb, Otjiwarongo and Okahandja. Okahandja is the traditional home of the Herero people of Namibia. Here we will stop at the local wood carvers’ market where we have the opportunity to buy some of these crafts. Our final hotel is an old country estate outside of the city where we will enjoy a farewell dinner. Enjoy delicious, authentic food and heartfelt hospitality as you share stories of your adventures, all with an ice-cold Namibian beer in hand.
